Automotive sales consultants have a variety of responsibilities ranging from meeting potential customers at the door, knowledge of automobiles, negotiating sales, and handling contracts. Sales & Leasing Specialist

• Customer Engagement. Good people skills are a must as an automotive sales consultant. Everyone must be greeted with a smile, and the more you can engage in conversation the better as this helps us to understand what kind of car, truck, or SUV they’re looking for, and in what price range.
• Knowledge of dealership automobiles. The more familiar you are with vehicle models, features, capabilities, and pricing structures, the easier it is to match potential customers with the right car, truck, or SUV.
• Continued communication with clients. Maintaining rapport with previous customers is a great way to ensure they’re happy with their current vehicle purchase, and to help them find a new vehicle when they’re ready to trade-in.
• Listen to, and understand, buyer’s requirements and interests, and then match requirements and interests to various vehicle models.
• Explain and demonstrate automobile capabilities, features, warranties, and take test drives.
• Closes sales by negotiating price, completing contracts, explaining and offering warranties.
• Complete sales reports.
• Willing to participate in continued educational opportunities.
• Explore new opportunities to add value to the dealership.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have an understanding of automobile depreciation, as well as local, state and federal laws guiding automobile fees.
• Must be able to effectively communicate information to potential buyers.
• Must dress appropriately to represent your personality and that of the dealership.
• Must be able to meet sale goals.
• Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
