The RAM 1500 Rebel: The Basics
The 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel is a very customizable vehicle. It can be had with a standard cab or in crew cab configuration, and drivers can get air suspension that allows you to control the truck’s exact height. You’ll also have to decide which engine to get – but more on that later.
Marshalltown drivers will also have to decide between the Level 1 and Level 2 equipment packages. Level 1 includes power heated mirrors that can be folded down, a heated steering wheel and front seats, an 8.4″ touchscreen, a (retro) CD player, and dual-zone climate control. Level 2 keeps all of these goodies and adds in remote start capability, a 115-volt outlet, hands-free entry to the vehicle, and parking sensors! There’s a reason that the RAM 1500 wins so many awards.
The RAM 1500 Rebel: Towing Capacity and Utility
There are a wide variety of available engines for the 2022 RAM 1500. The base engine is a 3.6L V6 that gets 305 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque. This is an impressive engine in its own right, but the others in the lineup are even more powerful. In the same size category there is a 3.0L Ecodiesel V6 engine that uses diesel fuel and gets 260 horsepower and 480 lb.-ft. of torque.
The Hemi engines are where one finds the most power, however. There are two available V8 Hemi engines for the RAM 1500 Rebel: the 5.7L Hemi V8 and the 5.7L Hemi V8 with eTorque. The former gets 395 horsepower. The Hemi V8 with eTorque leverages mild hybrid technology to get even more performance out of this impressive engine: it gets the same horsepower rating as the other V8 but it can tow an astonishing 12,750 pounds when properly equipped! The standard Hemi V8 can only tow 11,610 pounds. Even if you go with the standard Hemi, however, the RAM 1500 Rebel will be able to tow a heck of a lot!

The 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel is a great option for drivers in the Boone area. It combines utility, power, and refinement to create a truck that just about anyone would enjoy driving.
